PROTECTING YOUTH FAMILIES

Children and families that are vulnerable face obstacles to realizing their full potential and often need access to services, supports, and protections. All members of society have a responsibility to advocate for and work toward ensuring needed resources are available and necessary protections are afforded.

National Blueprint Guiding Principle – It is the responsibility of all members of society to work toward the shared goal of advancing the fundamental rights and needs of children.  As a core standard of this principle children must be protected from abuse, neglect, maltreatment, and abduction. Achieving these goals is a Shared Responsibility that requires the Leadership, Engagement and Participation of the larger community in order to ensure the safety, permanency, and well-being of all children with equal emphasis on all three. One cannot take precedence over another.
