Looking for information on starting a child welfare agency, nonprofit, residential home, etc.?

We commend you on your desire to start an agency to help vulnerable children and youth. The process can be quite complex, and the information you are seeking is something for which CWLA provides consultation on a fee basis. The cost for such consultation is usually beyond the means of most individuals.

You should start your efforts by conferring with state and local child welfare authorities in your community to find out what state regulations are, the process for getting started in your state, and so on.
